Volunteer with us

Make a difference

Our volunteers play an important part in our work supporting children’s mental health.

Volunteering allows you to use your existing skills to support our work, but also gives you the opportunity to grow those skills or develop new ones.

You also get the chance to meet new people, make new friends and have fun!

Plus, it’s a great addition to have on your CV and a chance to boost your professional development.

Whatever your background, we’d love to hear from you!

What we look for

We’ve made your volunteering journey with Blue Smile as easy and enjoyable as possible.

Whether it’s a few hours a week or a couple of days, we’re flexible in the amount of time you can give.

There are many aspects of our work that you can get involved with ranging from supporting in our office to helping with our fundraising activities.

• Community fundraisers help us raise awareness and funds to support our work, including bucket collecting in supermarkets and attending community events.

• Office volunteers help us keep everything running smoothly by supporting us with administration and other office tasks.

Volunteer clinical placements are available for counselling and psychotherapy students and graduates looking to build their hours or working towards accreditation. Read more about these roles here.

Depending on the nature of your volunteering role, you may be required to undertake a basic or enhanced DBS check.

‘When blue smile was looking for an office volunteer, it seemed the ideal opportunity to use my computer and organisational skills to support the charity’s valuable work
